Ok, don't flame me for this as I don't pvp, so this is a genuine question.

Are the PVP tournament tokens the same as the ones rewarded from the Xunlai Tournament House?

If so, then you can change them for keys. I had ten tokens left over from last months Xunlai awards, and I exchanged them for two Zaishen Keys this morning and opened the chest.

We are UAX (Unlocked Everything) Only 1 use for balthazar faction at this point which is Tourney Tokens, Since Im a good player at PVP I gain to much faction to quick just to let it sit at my Faction cap I spend it on Tokens, Even useing the tokens as fast as I can I still earn Way to much Faction which makes me fill up my invintory with Tokens.

You dont understand because you do not earn faction at the rate of most GOOD PVP players.
Does that answer your newbie question?

first let me say big thanks go out to the developers for adding a new use for faction. I hope tournament tokens could be exchanged for keys also at the expected rate of 5 per key. i have a good stash of tokens and i don't play in the tournaments...

Is there a penalty for allowing your faction to sit at cap?

Honestly, the amount of people who are saying "yeah I've got stacks of tokens sitting around" is baffling. Why did you buy them, if you had no intention of using them?

Why let your faction stay capped when you could have a lovely +20 popup every few seconds?

If you don't buy them, you were missing out on free stuff.

I stopped buying them because I ran out of inventory space and clicking buy token 100 times every time I hit max faction was pretty dumb.

you dont aquire faction when it is maxed. tokens were the only thing to spend faction on after UAX...

Tokens are for tournaments? Yes, of course.
But you are ignoring the fact that tokens is the only thing we could get with our faction if we had already unlocked everything for a very long time. Now we have a way to empty our faction. All we are asking for is to let us trade that faction that we spent on tokens (when tokens where the only option) for keys.

your paycheck is not limited by a faction cap... you can also spend your money on more than one item.

And yes with most real life items you can get your money back, or at least exchange purchased items for items of the same value.

This only makes sense, I am hardcore pve player and don't even Pvp much and but I still have everything i need unlocked thanks to AB.
My balthazars faction cap limit is 10K thats it:P I do have a fair collection of tourney tokens.Thats like 3 games of AB to max it, the tourney tokens were the only way to spend it.

But heres the thing I know a guy who just has over a Million tournament tokens o.o

That would mean 200,000 keys, imagine what those keys can unleash on the market, all golds will be dirt cheap.

But please Anet let their be a way to get 1K balthazars faction back by exchanging a tournament token, its not fair to people with maxed out balthazars action who had no way to spend it cept using tourney tokens!

yes a very large penalty YOU no longer Recieve Faction once you hit the cap.
That means when your total faction hits the cap and you have lets say 1.8mill balth faction and a faction cap of 26k If you continue to play PVP and not spend the 26k faction your Total balth faction will stay at 1.8 mill.

You learn something new every day Well this is not new at all but Here you go hope this explains it.

Most High end PVP guilds require a set limit of your Balth faction or they will not invite you.

Recruting UAX, R3+,glad 2+,champ 1+, 2 mill balth faction minnium. PM for details.
